They are illegal in a lot of US states. I'm pretty sure almost everywhere in Canada it is legal. I know they are legal in the Netherlands and Italy, but not sure about the rules on what areas.
They require a lot of work, too >_<
Can't treat 'em like a dog or cat.
I know they do! You're supposed to have two if you can't play with them like, all the time. But since I am homeschooled I think I can bond with one enough to only need one. Though two would be lovely! It just depends on a job when we move. If I have one that takes a lot out of me, I can't get one, since I won't be home.
I know! DX
But I got the skunk and puppy, so I should be good. We have a cat too, but she is camera shy. AKA; she's always outside, and any pic I have of her is blurry
>_<
Hello. My name is Kyra, but call me Cheshire. I have a pet skunk, whom I love like my own child. Not that I know what that would feel like, but I can pretend, :3
Skunks make great pets, so don't listen to those jerks who say they are bad pets! I can find you more proof of them being great pets than bad...SkunkFest is one of those proofs!
This account is for Photography only! My other account; Firebabywolfpup is for my drawing. I am in desperate need to update that account, but I have a lack of new things to upload. So...FUSHAH!

September 29th- Dear Sheezy,
Last night was the worst night of my life. My little girl, Mozzarella the skunk, had a seizure. Many of you know her form my gallery. She and the puppy are my main source of photography.
Mohz has had two seizures before, but none like this. It lasted almost an hour. Her eyes rolled in the back of her head twice, and we desperately called her back to prevent her form going to the rainbow bridge. After that long 40 minutes, we finally got her little mouth open to shove some sugar down her throat. That brought her out of the seizure.
I was on the phone with Deb from SkukHaven.net. Many of you who asked me questions got this link in return. Deb is an amazing person who runs a skunk rescue. She houses over 70-80 skunks and is NOT founded by the government.
She gave me some tips on what supplements to pick up, and we did! She was very lethargic all day while shopping, but playful when we were outside.
The best news of the day; she pooped three times!
That sounds odd. But she was constipated for over one day. She usually poops once or twice after each meal. (4 meals a day) so she had a lot inside of her. When she made that first, HUGE, multicolored poop pile, we were so glad. Why? She was just constipated, everyone gets that sometimes. . .
There is a virus that no one knows how or why skunks get it. It is fatal and there is no cute for it. It attacks the immune systems, and one of the first is her urinary tract and could screw up the muscles and cause her to not have her bowels cleansed. She has had a stuffy/runny nose, which is also a sign of this virus.
So far, she is recovering. Still stuffed up, but we hope and pray it is just from allergies! Next week is her blood test. We take her in to be tested for her blood sugar (to see is she is hypoglycemic) and to test for this virus. Unfortunately, they have to send the blood out for this, and it will take a week until the results come in.
September 30th â€" She got grounded today
We went to the park today; a baseball field. We took Tobi, the puppy, there to play with Liddie, her rotti friend. Mohz likes to tag along, so we thought some sunshine would be healthy for her. She could run and play, and rest in the shade.
Well. She ran; under the fence, at least four times. The first time was actually kind of funny, but scary as it happened. I was talking to my sister’s friend; she owns the rotti. I took my eyes off of Mohz for a coupe seconds and when I looked back, she was about 50 feet outside of the field, on the road! Luckily, the road only wraps around the park and is never busy! Only people going to the park go there, and the park is never crowded.
I was worried she would run in the woods, so I hurried out of the gate and saw a white car coming! Luckily they slowed down when they saw Mohz, or as they thought, A wild skunk. I didn’t think, I just saw a car and a skunk in the middle of the road. I ran as fast as I could, scooped her up, and went back to the field. She puffed up and was trying to spray me. (She can’t). My mom said I should have looked at the car. The driver’s face was priceless. â€" He saw a teenage girl, running as fast as she could to a skunk showing its butt to save it from the car. But she is still in trouble.
We went to the pet store to buy Mohz a new food and water dish. We saw a fire on the interstate on the way home. The white van was engulfed in flames. No one was hurt! We stopped on the side of the road, and my mom called 911. Believe it or not, for how many people were passing it, we were the first to call 911. Mom got out to see if anyone was in the van (request from 911), but the driver saw it flamed, pulled over, and started yelling at everyone to get out. I was there to see the gas tank explode!!!! It was very cool, since no one got hurt. I got to see a fire engine at work for the first time! We would have stayed longer, but another fire truck parked in our view, and we decided it was time to go.
Aw. Tobi the puppy is sleeping on her back, her legs in the air. She is snoring too. (:
October 1st â€" Mohz’s 5 month birthday.
Today was great. We didn’t go out today. We stayed home to relax. Still feeding her every two hours. I am so tired. Today was eventless.
October 2nd â€" No title
Went to the park. She only tried to escape twice! She played really well. Well, I ran and she chased me for half an hour. She got tired and we sat in the shade. She layed there nicely. Got some really good pictures a the park! Will upload some!
